Yulia’s Dream: a program for Ukrainian schoolchildren is launched in honor of the deceased mathematician in Massachusetts

Yulia’s Dream is a free program for deepening knowledge and research in mathematics for talented students in grades 9-11 from Ukraine.
The program was launched in memory of Yulia Zdanovska, a 21-year-old graduate of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, a silver medalist at the European Mathematical Olympiad for Girls 2017, and a teacher of the Teach for Ukraine program. She died in her hometown of Kharkov from one of Russia's missiles, which the aggressor is constantly firing at a peaceful city.
«We hope to help other Ukrainian boys and girls realize their dream», the university's website said.
- Julia's Dream is an initiative within PRIMES - a research program in mathematics, technology and science for high school students (grades 9-11) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
- Under this program, students will meet online once a week in small groups to study advanced math topics outside of the school curriculum or to work on math research projects under the guidance of academic mentors from MIT graduate students and math specialists.
