Ukraine will receive a grant of 1 billion euros from Germany - Ministry of Finance
The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko and the Federal Minister of Finance of Germany Christian Lindner have signed an agreement to provide Ukraine with 1 billion euros in grant funding.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
The funds will be directed to the state budget of Ukraine to finance prioritised social and humanitarian expenditures during martial law.
It is noted that the funds will be directed through the mechanism of the International Monetary Fund's administrative account.
"We hope to receive funds in the near future. This grant is an extremely important contribution to support our state in this difficult time, "said Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko.
