ERAM helps Ukrainian universities secure servers

The IT company EPAM will help move to the cloud servers of universities in the war zone to ensure uninterrupted distance learning.
ERAM said that all educational institutions that are currently in combat zone can apply for the transfer of servers.
"Even if the buildings or server rooms of these institutions are damaged or de-energized due to hostilities, students will be able to continue distance learning without interruption. Despite the war, future professionals must be able to study," said Denis Grinyov, ERAM Ukraine's head of education.
More than 20 experts from the Kharkiv office of ERAM and Amazon Web Services have joined this initiative. Specialists have already helped such universities as Kharkiv University or Karazin University, Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics,Kahrkiv National University of Radio Electronics, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia National University, Dnipro Polytechnic, National University of Pharmacy etc.
If the university has additional difficulties - for example, they do not have access to the Internet or can not get to work due to shelling - then, if necessary, experienced ERAM specialists help to optimize the infrastructure of universities in terms of technology and use of funds, and experts from Amazon Web Services budget for cloud storage and can advise in case of complex requests.
